Denying all allegations, Mukesh M claimed that Muneer had attempted to blackmail him and labeled the case as politically motivated.

Muneer, a prominent Malayalam actress, has sent shockwaves through the industry with serious allegations of physical and verbal abuse against four well-known actors: Mukesh M, Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Idavela Babu.

Muneer took to her Facebook page to detail the disturbing incidents, which allegedly occurred during their collaborations on various films dating back to 2013. Kerala actor Jayasurya is facing allegations of sexual harassment after a complaint was filed against him by actress Muneer. According to the Kerala Police, an FIR was registered against Jayasurya under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with intent to outrage modesty.

The complaint follows similar allegations made by Muneer against fellow actor Mukesh M. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has taken the actress’s statement and is investigating the matter.

Muneer recounted her experiences to ANI, stating, “Jayasurya once hugged me from behind and forcibly kissed me as I was exiting the toilet. Additionally, Idavela Babu expressed his interest in a sexual relationship with me.

A new wave of sexual harassment allegations has rocked the Malayalam film industry, with actor Mukesh M facing a rape case and other prominent figures facing accusations of misconduct.

In addition to the rape case against Mukesh M, actress Bhavana has accused actor Jayasurya of making inappropriate comments and attempting to isolate her. She also detailed interactions with Maniyanpilla Raju, where he inappropriately suggested changes to her hotel accommodation.

These allegations have surfaced amidst the release of a redacted version of the Justice Hema committee report, which exposed widespread harassment and exploitation in the Malayalam film industry. The report highlighted the power dynamics within the industry, with male figures dominating and controlling opportunities.

Director Ranjith and actor Siddique have resigned from their positions in the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) following separate accusations against them. The AMMA has been temporarily dissolved in light of the multiple allegations.

In response to growing public outrage and media scrutiny, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations. In an official press release, the Chief Minister said, ‘In light of recent interviews and statements from several women in the Malayalam film industry detailing the hardships they have faced, we have convened a meeting with senior police officials to ensure a thorough investigation.’
