*Assam Police Forest Guard provides age relaxation for the Various Posts in Forest Gurad position as per their regulations.
Age Relaxation:
- SC / ST (P) / ST (H): +5 years
- OBC / MOBC: +3 years
- Other relaxations as per Assam Government rules and notification.
Assam Police Forest Guard 2026 – Selection Process
Selection Stages (post‑wise):
- Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Written Examination (OMR‑based)
- Walking Test (for Forester Grade‑I & Forest Guard)
- Oral/Viva‑Voce and document verification
- Trade / Skill tests for specific posts (Bandman, Bugler, Boatman, etc.)
Physical Efficiency (Forest Guard/Forester):
Male:
- Run: 3.2 km within 14 minutes
- Long jump / high jump as per norms
Female:
- Run: 1.6 km within 8 minutes
- Long jump / high jump as per norms
Walking Test (qualifying only, for Forester & Forest Guard):
- Male: 26 km in 4 hours
- Female: 16 km in 4 hours
