Ola Electric unveiled its new Roadster Series of electric motorcycles at its annual Sankalp event on August 15th, marking the company’s entry into the electric motorcycle market.
Ola Electric’s stock continues its upward trajectory, hitting the upper circuit limit for another day. The share price is now tantalizingly close to doubling its IPO value, with investors who held on to their shares reaping significant gains. The electric vehicle maker’s shares have surged by 40% in the past week alone, trading at nearly ₹6 below the double-IPO price mark. The initial public offering (IPO) was priced at ₹76 a share.
Ola Electric’s stock price surge continues as circuit limits are reduced from 20% to 10%. The electric vehicle maker’s shares have almost doubled since their IPO, just six trading days after listing.
Despite being loss-making, Ola Electric currently dominates India’s electric two-wheeler market. However, the company’s foray into sales warrants careful scrutiny. Given the global decline in vehicle prices, it remains uncertain whether Ola’s sales venture will provide a significant competitive advantage compared to its peers. Successful execution will be crucial for Ola to capitalize on this new business line.
